Rani Towers – Glass babel
The iconic Rani Towers are located along the coast of Mozambique, on Marginal Avenue, in the city of Maputo.
The concept was to create iconic buildings that enrich the urban fabric of the City of Maputo. The development was successfully completed in 2016, with mixed-use buildings, including the Radisson Blu Hotel, with sinuous forms and a facade inspired by the hills and coast of Mozambique. The landscape given to us by the two towers capitalizes on the magnificent views of the sea and coast, creating an oasis of peace, conceived in a vibrant capital and offering all the conveniences that capture the cosmopolitan spirit of today’s Maputo.
On March 22, 2017, the Rani Towers were inaugurated by President Filipe Nyusi who praised the Aujan Group and the Minor Group for their initiative, courage and vision with an investment of more than 250 million US dollars.
The Rani Towers honorably received two awards in 2017, as the best architectural project at the Africa Property Investment (API) Awards held in South Africa, which recognized innovation and notable achievements in the real estate industry. The juries evaluated “infrastructure and access to transport, integration into the environment, originality of the concept, technical and architectural quality, services offered, sensitivity to the local community, innovation, sustainability, involvement of corporate personnel, response to market demands, financial performance, occupation and impact of the economic convergence project”.
In the same year, at the Casa Moçambique Real Estate Gala that took place in Maputo, Rani Towers won the most prestigious award of the night, the “best of the best” for global excellence in all areas, competing among 40 projects in Mozambique.
Aujan Group Holdings is represented in Africa by its Hospitality and Real Estate business – Rani Investment, which has 20 years of experience in developing hotels, serviced residences and offices in the Middle East and Southern Africa. Today, Rani Investment offers world-class hotels and resorts in Mozambique and Zimbabwe, all designed to the highest standards. The Pemba Beach Hotel, the Anantara Medjumbe Island Resort Spa, the Anantara Bazaruto and of course the magnificent Rani Towers and the Radisson Blu Hotel and Apartments are just a few examples.
At a FEMOTUR (Mozambican Federation of Tourism and Hospitality) awards ceremony, on July 11, 2019, at Centro Joaquim Chissano, Rani resorts won “Best Investor in Tourism for Mozambique in the last 14 years”.
The Apartments Tower consists of 18 floors of serviced apartments made up of studios, and units of one, two and three bedrooms. The top two floors contain 5 duplex penthouse units. The apartments have a Reception Lobby Lounge with full Concierge Services and Service Elevator. Each apartment has a terrace and full-height solar-glazed windows to take advantage of the spectacular views of the Indian Ocean and Maputo city and coast. The podium level terrace comprises the VIVO Bar, Pool Deck with infinity pool and the spacious Roof Garden.
The modern, technically sophisticated office tower consists of 15 levels of office floors, serviced by 5 high-speed elevators and comprises a total of 23,604 m² with access via a dedicated entrance foyer linked to the shopping mall on the ground floor. In 2018, Absa Bank acquired the top four floors, and its magnificent offices were inaugurated on August 7, 2019 by President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi.
Construction professionals have been successful in optimizing site potential by developing systems that minimize energy consumption, protecting and preserving water, using environmentally sound products and improving Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ).
