Bairro Bistrô

The corner of African crafts

The ideal place for an immersion in what is best in terms of locally-made handicrafts.

It is Bairro in name and Soul in essence, a corner where we fall in love with the beauty of art and the strength of the mission. We are talking about Bairro Bistrô Alma Africana.

Established in 2013, it is a haven for artisans and art lovers.

Comprising a shop, a restaurant, a workshop center and a private label atelier, it is the ideal place for an immersion in what is best in terms of locally-made handicrafts.

The commitment to the communities, teaching them and selling the fruit of their work as a way to increase their income, is Bairro’s biggest differentiator, which is proud to have the largest sample of locally-produced items.

But what makes this Bairro so popular? Perhaps the bohemian atmosphere that is experienced there, a result of the intersection of art forms, music and, of course, good food. And speaking of food, the restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere that is only surpassed by the “healthy fusion” menu.

If you are an artisan looking for new techniques, the workshop centre offers courses in which creativity is king and good results are your loyal subjects.

With several reasons to adopt this as “your” Bairro, all you have to do is visit the place where, regardless of origin, its entire soul is African.
