Ana Cândida Macripodares – Work and discipline

“My great satisfaction was to enable my children to study.”

 Born in Inhambane, Ana Cândida Macripodares had a career associated with commercial management at LAM, having also worked as a private secretary to José Viegas, former LAM’s Chairman. “I worked as a secretary in the Commercial Department, then chief secretary of the sales terminal for a period of six months and returned to the commercial department, having stayed here until I retired on 2 April, 2013,” she tells us.

During her 26-year career at LAM, Ana relied on the camaraderie of her coworkers, which makes her believe that a career cannot be built alone and that we need others to complement us. “I am very grateful to my coworkers.”

But she reveals another joy. “My great satisfaction was to enable my children to study, to have been a person with integrity and without any disciplinary process over those 26 years.”

As for the company’s growth, she believes in a promising future. “I have total confidence in Mr. Pó Jorge (General Manager), a person with a lot of experience and knowledge in Civil Aviation, which makes me believe that he will take LAM to the highest level.”
